CIEE Open Campus in Copenhagen, Denmark
Experience Copenhagen your way by customizing your study abroad experience through the Open Campus program. Study in Scandinavia with an English-language program designed for students at US universities. Take one, two, or three six-week blocks for your perfect amount of intensive study and cultural engagement, select your academic track from six options, then pick your courses from a wide range of subject areas. No matter what you choose, you’ll get a chance to fully experience a city full of history, culture, and innovation.
Study abroad in Copenhagen and you will:

Stay in Copenhagen for the duration of this unique study abroad experience, or add on blocks in other CIEE Open Campus locations (Berlin, Santiago de Chile) to experience more comparative intercultural learning with CIEE’s unique Global Scholar program.
Students may select one of six academic tracks: Business, Communications, Journalism & New Media, Global & Community Health, International Relations & Political Science, Language, Literature & Culture, or Sustainability and Environmental Science. The CIEE Global Institute is centrally located and convenient to public transportation for exploring the city.
Courses are taught in English by CIEE faculty drawn from a variety of higher education institutions in Denmark and worldwide.

This Madison College sponsored program is run by the Council for International Education Exchange (CIEE). Students will apply to Madison College and to CIEE for acceptance on the program.
Courses will vary depending on session. Please see CIEE's website for more information on available courses.
A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling abroad. If you need to apply for a passport, it is advised to allow at least 6 weeks for standard processing.
All students are required to attend two pre-departure orientations. These orientations provide information on health and safety, packing, trip planning, flight logistics, and other essential information.

There is a $200 required fee to Madison College that covers Madison College orientation, the academic equivalent process, support before, during, and after Study Abroad, and all associated services.
